Introducing Isofoto :)

Hi guys..... I am happy to introduce you to my new photos's site ISOFOTO I am super happy about it. It took me a while to do it and post on it (geeezzz i have 3 sites now) well this one is very important for me because someday i m hoping i could become a real photographer as a full time job... it might take a while, it might never happened but for once i m still keeping hope!
So guys please go have a look there when you have some time, leave comments if you want, any tips, advices or else will be appreciated :)

On my latest post you will see how I used GIMP to remove ugly cables on my sunset pic that I posted on my previous post :)

Little question to end that short post: if you had the possibility to travel in the past, when you go and what would you change? :) (I ll answer the question on my next post too :)

Have a freakintastic end of the weekend!!!!

1st week of 2009 in motion...

First of all let me wish u all an Happy New Year 2009, let s hope this one will be better 2008, not that 2008 has been awful no, but better is better than better and I know what i mean (even if it looks confusing).

That s me with my new haircut btw :P
Anyway, this week, I went to still south of France but east, even though I moved 21 times in 28 years, some members of my family haven t move. I arrived on monday at my grandma s and unfortunately until the end of the year we had the... flood, of course everybody joked about it, telling me ' u brought us the irish climate ;( ' bunch of mean people! So, i could not do much the first days except clicking animals, i dunno i love animals so I got the chance to click some of them:

Vicky the cute doggee of the neighbour, I heard she likes to pose for the photograph, I must say she s doing it pretty good :D

Julie, my grandma s cat:)

Tigrou, the neighbour s cat, such a cute and soft cat.

Fusain, my aunt s cat :)

Some random dogs in the street, notice the leather jacket, doggeee fashion style, u don t see it but he is actually wearing a pink reabbon on top to maintain some extra hair, while the one behind is showing is tongue :P
Sometimes I also take babies like the neighbours, and she is darn cute:

On the last day of 2008, I went to my aunt s house to celebrate the new year s coming. During the afternoon while her best friend was cooking yummy stuff for the evening, I colored my aun t s hair. Why i m sure u re wondering I mentionned that, well it s simple, i can t really say i m proud of many things in my life, but for sure i m proud of one thing, I am the first person that ever colored my aunt s hair in 47 years!!!!
My aunt is not the kind of girly girly and i managed to make her change her mind and switch from a grey hair to her former brunette style, since then (it was a year ago) she started wearing make up, rings and made some highlights!!!!
I know, so that day she was in big need of a new hair color since her previous color well vanished and she looked more like Sonia Rikyel (fashion designer)!!! so I only put a pic of her AFTER the color not before, I don t want her to kill me!

I celebrated with great food the new year and funny story, if u never tried i recommend u to do it, have u ever play arrow-words drunk? No? What a shame! It is fantastic!

I did my first arrow-words at midnite after wine and champaign not only my brain was on speed but for sure my aunt s guests were thrilled to have me there since how much they laugh!
Anyway, I m not gonna through the good resolutions of the year since 99% of the time I don t reach them, I only gonna put what I would like to happen and then hope it will:
- loose weight (this is somehow recurrent each year)

- go to India (lets say in March :)
- find a great job in south of france

- move out this year (preferably before summer :P)
- why not find someone (not that i m desperately looking for it, i d rather move first)
- win the lottery (well what the heck y not)
- NB:
buy a lottery ticket (that might help :P)

On friday I went to eat in a spanish restaurant with my grandma:

and my god i was so full that i could not even eat a desert, I got meat 'a la plancha' served on top of slate one word DE-LI-CIOUS.

Of course I haven t mention all the great plates my grandma did but trust I had a special yummy diet and that s not gonna help my first 'resolution'!

Now, today I went to la Grande Motte, which is a special place for me, my grandma bought when i was 1 year a flat in this city which is very original by its weird architecture but i love it.

I spent all my summer, learn to swim, my first teenager holidays and first love here so this is a special place for me.
There is a port:

giant beach where i used to go twice a year to get rid of the negative feelings and it feels GREAT

today I was happy to be there and of course I took some pics :P Hope u ll enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them :P

A seagal ready to fly, I m so glad I got this shot, click on it to have it bigger:

Black and White sunset in front of the beach

Sepia sunset

It has my AGE, I used to play there when I was a kid, I can t believe it is still here!!!!!!

The sand with the building of La Grand Motte as a background

A little bird not that shy :P

My yatch well in my dream ...Well, that s it for my 2 weeks trip in France, I packed my bag and of course with all the food I brought back i have 5 extra kilos to carry so 50 euros to pay to mean Ryanair! Anyway, I ll be back to Ireland tomorrow ;( but the only thing that make me happy to go back it s because next week i ll go to the Indian ambassy to do my visa for my future trip to come :D
Take care People

Merry xmas: Crazy 1st week in France

I m not back yet in Blogville, but since i m on holidays and I have less freakin-office-compulsory-stress, and for the sake of the holidays spirit, play PAUSE on my break to share wid ya my first week in France. I left on sunday the 21st my rainny-greenish-windy Ireland to South of France where surprisingly it was colder than Ireland ;( so guess what I got a very bad cold ;(
On the 24th of december I spent my first Xmas feast with my mum and bro:

And me and my mum with my new haircut :P

But i was already a bit sick ;(

then the very next day on the 25th for lunch I spend my second Xmas feast with my dad and bro, when I say feast i m not joking, here is what we usually get during a Xmas feast:
- appetizers (oysters, toasts with salmon, 'foie gras', olives, and others stuff)

- capon (or other big meat like roe deer) with mushrooms, potatoes, green bean, hot chestnut
- lettuce with cheese
- and the yule log like this one ;P

On Friday, to complete this Xmas tradition, gladly it snowed!!! I was happy and badly sick at the same time, had to go to the doctor for the second time to get some stronger medicine! But I was happy to see some snow at last!!!

On saturday, I spent the afternoon with my dad in Toulouse, the real Pink city, the weather was cold but so sunny I took some great pics with my dad. We saw the departure of a Student Challenge, students are leaving to Morocco with very old french cars to bring some furniture to Moroccan, great initiative!

We cycled around the city where I clicked like crazy, see for urself :P

My dad:

La Garonne, the river:
Basilique:

A sweet couple:

As for today, I went to see some friends, and great surprise, among the great lunch i got with her, 2 of my friends told they were pregnant, and even one with twins!!!! That makes me remember that i m single, sharing house in a rainny country! Anyway, I am so happy for them.
Now, i m home for the last time, tomorrow I m going to see the rest of the family in the South east, i m looking forward a peaceful week with them, spending mew with my aunt and bro, will surely blog about it, since my aunt as the rest of the family are EXCELLENT cook!!!!
Before ending this post, let me introduce u to 'toudoux' my mum is like the Sister Teresa for the cats, first came Zouzou (yes she gave them name) with Zaza, then Reglisse and Tigrou, all of them left for whatever reason except Zouzou the black cat with a new addition in the Family called 'Toudoux' a sweet grey fluffy baby cat funny and hilarious, i ll miss him when i leave ;(

In the mean time, People u have a great Merry Xmas and an excellent end of the year! See u around!

Need some fun?

It is not a MMJ, but more a series of pics I took on my last day in LA or mini stories I got recently. Before i took about LA I went to Dublin city center today, initially to see the latest James Bond no sorry the latest Hems Bond :D

but i missed the show because I shop, i know, but when i m depressed my best friend is my credit card. So I bought some fruits, have to be healthy sometimes right, then i bought the season of House, apparently it s good and my personal Xmas gift, I know I already have one ipod video, 2 shuffle but i bought the flashy purple new super cool ipod because he looks good ;)

then OMG i m so super happy i found...... some KIRI, does anybody knows what KIRI is, well it is cheese the 'Laughing Cow' or 'La Vache Qui Rit' as we say in French, but Kiri is even better because there is more cream and so it s more yummy. And where did i find it u may ask? in an Indian shop yes between tikka massala spices and chapati ;)
Then I bought a suitcase, not just any suitcase, the 4 wheels hard cover suitcase, to survive against the Irish rain and poor infrastructure of the streets or airports ;) On my way back home, i saw on the street so many strange people. There was this group of young 'adult' women, apparently nobody told them that Halloween was last week, maybe it was a Bachelorette party, I saw two Cow girls (bitch they stole my costume), one Cow boy/girl, one Pink Navy girl, wearing the shortest dress ever with no jacket under that cold weather... simply crazy... anyway.

Now let s talk about LA, I went to Hollywood recently, and as u know or u re might not know, everything in USA is bigger and apparently they don t have any problem with it, and it s better to advertise it... Live larger, if u don t read the underline, how do u understand it? Getting fat is not a problem? Really?

They seem to have the bigger the better right, size of Jeans, make it bigger! Though I like this ads, it looks cool, like a real jeans ;)
The entire city center is covered by big ads from clothes, to new movies or series, ipod, everything, I don t know how much does it cost but since the road, or expressway are everywhere well u need
to see the ads from there right, so the higher the better, the bigger the merer. The corona beer ads was very nice too. How cool it is to wake up every morning, open ur windows and look at the right u see the corona, down left the lemon with blue sky and the see... niiiiiice.

I went to Venice beach, where supposedly Baywatch was supposed to roll, though I haven t seen Mitch Buchannon or whatever his name spelled nor Pamela Anderson, nor any women in bikini doing some roller skates on the street, it is a myth, well it was apparently too early in the morning to see that, for what I heard ;) So instead I took this pic:D Hot Dogs 1$, where? In the bin trash? LOL they could have put the bin somewhere else not underneath the ad, it s a Marketing Crime ;D

Then I went to Hollywood, yeah, did I see some stars? Nope, Nope at all.

But I saw some movies celebrities like the old time famous Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin, though Marilyn Monroe was less sexy and more older than the original one

I thought I will assist to a fight between two batmans:
Batman 1: WTF are u doin here, It s my day today, my corner, u re supposed to be on Rodeo Drive get out of here
Batman 2: F@#$$ u, i m the ONLY Batman u re the fake one, i m the original one, I have the costume from Batman 1
Fortunately Superman was here to separate them! Man I don t know how could they stand all day here with that heat cause it was hot, wearing that much of costume!!!! And that Superman, u d better be extremely confident about ur masculinity to be wearing that red underpants and blue tights!
Then to finish, I pass by the walk of fame and I saw this star:
Man, what the hell the parents were thinking, or it is a name he picked when becoming famous, why 'Dick' , was this 'name' did not have a double sense before?
Ok I checked wikipedia and he was born Richard Ewing "Dick" Powell without at the beginning of the 20th century so i m guessing that name did not have a double sense before I truly hope!!!!
Anyway, this is it for today, I hope the Blogville is getting better, and u People, take care!

From generation to generation...

While looking at my pictures I start thinking, why do I love so much taking pictures. I think everything start with my grandma...She was the first who showed an interest in taking pictures, she has an amazing collection of pictures of the family, and I love her so much for that, i always said to her that the day she will leave, i don t want anything except her pictures, the best treasure ever. At 76, she s using a pc, chat with me on the internet, scans her pics, compare to my mum my god!
That s her, with me ;) first time I opened my eyes. The pic was took by my dad, who got the 'pic virus' from his mum. It s quite funny though, when my mum was about to give birth, my dad asked to wait a bit more so he could arrange the lights to take the best pics of me (he was good friend with the doctor) and when my mum was about to push my dad yelled 'WAIT!!! I forgot to put the film!' i have to say I was in hurry to get out, I was born 1 month before the due date!
I start using the 'plastic camera'when I was 14 I guess, every time I come home, I can see a pile of pics that my mum asked every time to clean it, but i can t get rid of it, and of course my mum does not have a scanner to scan them all! I really start taking pics with the digital camera appears, my first one, was a loosy HP that I could afford my few money! But I guess the real thing that made me want to take pictures was because of my dad s amazing shots. Years ago, he was using the 'reflex' camera with film, developing them in the 'dark room', and I think the picture that touch me the most is the one he made with my mum and I:

I simply love it, we re both eating crackers, it was an instant moment, we weren t posing on it... i can t even explain what i feel, but it is my fav pic! Now last year, I finally made it, I bought my first Nikon D40 which i m very proud of, u can find all my pics on my SMUGMUG! I hope I ll be able to make great shots, i d love to be a photographer.
I guess, this is one passion I share with my grandma and my dad:

i m happy about it, but we don t have all the same passions of course. Do u guys share a passion with a relative? Which one?

Festival of World Cultures + Tagged ;)

This weekend, we had our 8th Festival of World s Cultures in Dun Laoghaire, in south of Dublin. This year I was volunteer to 'roam', as a photographer, to click the singers during this Festival. Most of the concerts and workshops, coming from all over the world were free ;) and outdoor ;( Why ;(, it s because on saturday we got.... again.... a damn cold rain! Please, remember that it is supposed to be 'summer'!!! Anyway, I was wearing a giant raincoat sponsorised by RTE, which looked more like a bin bag, but at least I was kind of protecting. My duties were to walk around the city and take some pics. I saw many things that day with Samba de Rua mixed with a scottish group (that I forgot the name) but the mix between the 2 so different types of music was just awesome. I also got the chance to see some Sikhs Martial Arts which was brilliant and crazy to see what the elder man can do blindfolded eyes.

We had to hit back home earlier because of Rohit, who freshly came from sunny India to rainny cold Dublin for 6 weeks was freazin cold, my feet were also in a bad shape and since I had to get back the next it was time to leave.
The next day, I was really lookin forward because of Sergent Garcia, great half french half spanish singer who was about to perform on the stage and thanks god we got a perfect sunny not too hot weather!!!!! Before that, we saw many differents workshops, or these crazy guys who disguised themselves and stand up for hours outside trying to get money for their courage (I would not do that myself, 4 hours straight without moving.... kill me now).

We finish though we a great performance by Sergent Garcia.

We went back home, tired, exhausted! Because I was a volunteer they gave me a small thingy that can mesure how many foot steps I did, and listen to this I did for sunday only, 24 578 foot steps, that s right!! I was very impressed. Today, since it was a day at work, and I m spending most of the time, my ass on a chair, I did only 1 670 foot steps ;( Anyway, overall it was a great weekend!!!!!!
=============================
TAGGED, that s right, for the first time thanks to --xh-- I have beeeeeeeeeen tagged! So i m very proud to do my first tag ;) so --xh-- tagged me recently with a "list-5-of-ur-fav-quotes" tag. Actually i don t really have favourite quotes except 1, so I went on site to see some quotes and here the ones I selected:
1) 'homme qui rit a moitiƩ dans son lit' which mean 'Man who laughs halfway through ur bed,' i found it funny because i m not too bad making men laugh but it does not mean they will actually managed their full way to my bed;) (the quote is valid for woman as well ;)
2)'It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all' and maaan I have lots of ideas ;) does not mean all of them are feasable.
3)'I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.' Fred allen, so true!
4)'I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens. ' Woody Allen, I just don t want to suffer, who want it anyway!
5)Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is. Francis Bacon, oh man me having lots of imagination and sense of humor...dunno what to think now ;(
As usual, I am not tagging anyone, and u know why ;)
