On day 4, we stopped at Manzanillo. Now, for those who never cruised, one daily thing when cruising is picture, and Gus knows how much I hate when somebody is taking a picture of me, so every night before dinner, there is photographers in certain locations in the ship that I pretty much avoid, willing to take pic of u cz they are paid by what u buy. And every time u get out of the ship they are waiting for u at the end of the 'toll bridge' to click u, most of the time I escaped cause I was going out from the bridge reserved for the Crew since my friend was working on the ship. So today, some local women wearing the traditional outfit were waiting outside to be taken in pic with u, I clicked some..


We wait half and hour before getting our bus, the 10min that separated us from our final destination was pretty much un clickable... it was full of big trucks or giants containers full of dunno what, everywhere, it was like a cemetery of containers and also a border kind of. Anyway, I went to take a boat to do some snorkeling. In the boat, all the chairs where sponsored by the local typical beer in Mexico which is Corona I even bought a Corona s towel, I know I m such a tourist!


The crossing last 20 minutes before we reached the used to be 'Elephant Rock ' before the snorkeling part, but due to an earthquake the actual trunk of the elephant fell, so let ur creativity begin cz u definitively have to use ur imagination to recognize the elephant


Then we went snorkeling, I took my flippers and my mask and tuba and jump in the water, i was a bit disappointed since the water was green, it was warm but green so i could not see much of fish in the water, i bought a underwater plastic camera and i took a couple of pics but i don t know if it will be good.

Not that i m scared of water, but when I can t reach the ground of the sea, I like to see through to avoid scary fishes or any other sea animals. Specially when that crazy old bitch said 'omg i think i saw a shark' I mean 'WTF' why would u say that stupid! I m gonna make u eat ur f@#% flippers if u say it again!
And an other stupid one, who was actually under water with her mask watching me obviously cz she told me 'DON T touch the coral, u are killing it, and once it s dead if u touch it, it will cut u badly' OMG, who are u 'Greenpeace' why don t u take care of urself and go spy on somewhere else!
So we swam for an hour, well less for me, since somebody almost killed me with one of his flippers who almost reached my nose, I went back to the boat... it was open bar ;)
I got my first fresh margarita and a nice red flower, and i took a pic of myself, be happy People cz i hate taking pics of myself ;)


Usually what happens, and I have a tradition to take a pic of my feet, yeah I know what u might think, what a crazy french, but i don t like me on the pic, but i have nothing against my feet, so to prove to people that at least I was there :) well ...I was seating at the front of the boat, taking the sea fresh air on my face and clicked a pic of my feet :)


We had also a beer contest, i did not participate to it, due to the heat and the way the boat was moving, I already drank way too much :) margaritas, then some Corona beers, won t tell u how many i stopped counting after 5 ;) I even had a chat with El Capitan of the boat :


When I finally reached the ship, i was exhausted, somehow drunk, my way to my cabin looked unusually longer than it used to be, probably cz I went to the 6th floor instead of the 7th trying to open my supposed to be cabin which was not mine, it took me 10 frustrating minutes trying to slide my cabin card into the locking thingy to finally realize it was not the number 6583 but 7583 .
My face was red like the flower, as for the rest of my body, specially the shoulders and back i look like a giant lobster. In my cabin was waiting my second Animal s towel, I guess Froggy the Frog, was not sure what animal it was, but my friend assured me it was a frog so... too tired, i barely talked to my new friend, I took an other cold shower and fell in sleep like a baby :)


PS: by the way if u read my post about Mexican cruise Day 1 and 2 and u are still wondering what the Chicken Olympics were, or if u were thinking i just made a joke, no no, the Chicken Olympics took place on the deck 9, next to the pool, the Crew filmed it, and I had the fantastic pleasure to see it on tv. Some shamelessness people started to mimic the chicken, well it s funny when u are 5, ridiculous when u are 50 years old.


Then they had to throw some faked yellow chicken into some boxes to gain some point depending how far they reached the box, followed by how many faked chicken can fit in a tee shirt or sometimes even more scary into some men s short, the more u had the merer and they finished to dance that ridiculous dance called the 'Chicken dance'


that I once myself brilliantly danced when I was 5 I guess, i m sure my grandma have some pics of it, i ll try to scan one during Xmas cause i m sure u are all looking forward seeing me wearing yellow short and shirt :)

I wake this saturday morning approximately every hour due to jetlag, after being awake for 26 hours it was definitively not my leisure to wake every hours. i had to leave my hotel at noon to reach the Broadway Pier of San Diego where the Spirit ship from Carnival will be waiting for me.

I spent a couple of hours watching TV with around 1h20 min of commercial, every 5 min i had 10 min of commercials, and boy i m glad i m not living in us, otherwise in less than 20 min i would have bought already 3 items!
My cab picked me up and we reach the pier around 12.30PM The ship was not there yet so i wait on a bench, i was not allowed to reach the pier since i did not have a 'Fun pass' cause i was not technically paying for the cruise.
The ship arrive 1h later, it was ok for me to wait, because it was sunny with a little bit of wind... simply perfect!
My friend called me and informed me that she was really busy and won t pick me up right away, so i wait 1.5h easily still resting on my bench.
She finally picked me up, so happy to see her after a year actually since the last time i saw her it was in october 2007. We entered the ship quickly passing by the customers who did not have the chance to know a member of the ship ;)
Since she was still working I went to sleep in her nano room, yeah, it is quite small and u have to share with one person!!!! I know, anyway, I slept for a couple of hours then we hit the restaurant.
Now the flash news of the day: for the first time in 2 years I got my first sunburn!!!! i was so happy, how did it happened? Well I spent 2.5 hours sitting on my bench waiting for my friend, it was sunny and a bit windy I did not felt the heat at all, the funny part is that only my left arm was red like a lobster but it is quite fine, cause we have the Biafine, fantastic creme to put on the sunburn, it stinks a bit, only available in France but so good my friends!

Now, today sunday, it is sea day, like tomorrow, we need 2 days to reach Puerto Vallarta :) So this morning i went to deck number 9 to the Lido for my breakfast and this is was the view i got while eating it :)


I then reached the entry D for the drill (not too sure for the spelling) during 15 min the staff explains u what to do in case of the remake of the Titanic, where to go, how to wear the safety orange thingy to float in the water etc etc, so all the passengers were stand up on rows, waiting patiently to get over it or fighting hard to put properly their safety equipment i must say that some of them would be probably dead by now!


Then just before lunch i got for my first time my first cocktail, ok it was not a Mojito nor Isaac served me my cocktail, but it was Roma who served me a margarita! And it was good my friend.


It is now 6PM and I spent the entire afternoon sleeping in front of the pool, ok the water direclty coming from the Pacific Ocean and was a bit cold but the sun was damn hot, i made sure i put some sunscreen this time!!!
so this is it for today, now i m getting ready to have my diner with the Captain of the ship, well i won t seat next to him but it is the official night, then we will have a show and then probably finishing by the nightclub!

Tomorrow is also a Sea day, so i ll probably keep working on my tan.
Funny note: every time Chris who is apparently the Activities on board director is making an announcement on the microphone like 'Don t miss the Chicken Olympics, deck 9 at 3 this afternoon' (have no idea what was the chicken olympic btw) well every time he s saying the word Deck, i heard differently, by that i mean replace 'e' by 'i' in the name and u ll see what i m talking about, so every time i m laughing by myself!!! (no i m not a perv, have seen some passengers laughing as well when hearing him ;)

The wrong way:

As soon as I finished milking her again she knocked down the bucket with her with her tail and I took off my belt and tied up her tail with my belt.

As I was tying up her tail, my pants dropped down, then my wife came out and well, trust me, some things you just can't explain!

Flying with American Airlines. Just got my pasta with broccoli (WTF lasagna with broccoli instead of meat!!!! why not coconut!!!)
I m watching Disney Channel at the moment. It s probably around 1PM london time and everybody seems to do more or less a nap or watchin s movie.
Now the funny thing I noticed is the fact that lots of people are removing their shoes for a long flight and man what the hell some of them were thinking this morning when choosing their socks, can their at least match? Noooo i even saw one guy wearing pinky socks sooo... not cute.
Anyway, after my lunch the passenger 24A decided to go to the toilet, so I stood up to let him go be before going he bended to pick up his headphones, oh lord, I saw something and i still considered myself to young to see such a thing, the well used to be white type of kangaroo underwear with the ugly brown trail right in the middle of his ass eouwww. So to get over it I decided myself to go to the bathroom.
When it was my turn I just realized mistake number 1... hold one... let me do a PAUSE...cause right now I just suffered from my mistake twice which is wearing only my socks... a stupid woman just walked on my poor little foot and to make it worst she ain t the size of a cotton buds but more like a bottle of Perrier reverse B@#$%^!


So let s go back to mistake number 1, when i walked inside the tiny toilet, looked at the floor and desperately regret not wearing my shoes due to a certain liquid spreading on the floor, I prayed hard wishing it was only water! Mistake n 1 of my trip: achieved with great success and twice!

4PM London time:
A flight attendant gave the blue and green visa paper thingy. Have u been to USA? For those who ve never been here the thing, the blue paper ask u among other questions if u have been in a farm/ranch/pasture recently: yes for sure, I m living in Ireland with green grass and sheeps! And then the green paper ask u if:
- u are a drug dealer
- engage in immoral or criminal activities
- involved in espionage or sabotage between 1933-45 ( no doubt about it, my parents were not even conceived by that time!)
- detained or retained custody of a child from the US
Then if u say 'YES" to any of these questions the wrote: Please contact the American embassy BEFORE (in capital and bold) you travel to the US since u may be refused admission into the US.
Now let me ask u a question? Why on earth they gave us that green paper ONCE ( and I put in capital and bold) we are actually IN the plane??? Anyway like u re gonna answer yes to any of these questions?

Midnight London time:
And around 5PM in Los Angeles. I finally after 11 hours and 5 minutes in LAX airport.


I went through the security check in with this guy asking a series of questions, have u been there before? how long are u staying? business or holidays? who are u working for? what s ur job? there is actually an advantage working for a big american company! Then I picked up my bag, with this chinese guy who put the letter 'AGR' on my blue paper i filled on the plane. Came through the 3rd security checkin where the guy asked me to go through the Agriculture check in WTF, i said i haven t been to a farm, what do they expect me to have, a lamb in my suitcase!!!! Like i m gonna bring some food from Dublin to USA!!!!


2AM London time:
Now i m actually in the South Band amtrak train going to San Diego after i took a shuttle to bring me to the train station. So today i took 1 cab, 2 plane, 1 shuttle cab, 1 train and probably one cab to go to my hotel so roughly 20 hours in transportation, :) But funny thing i m not yet tired, since it s really sunny and hot outside I feel like chill out outside ;)

Now it is time for me to close that post, I was hoping to do a 2nd edition of Meet... with Rainboy but he has not replied yet to me :( so maybe before i leave to Mexico, otherwise, u ll see probably some kind of zombie post on friday or saturday due to time zoning :) after me having roughly 16 hours of flight/taxi/train/taxi/bus :)
While i m working on my tan, waiting from Isaac (from the Love Boat) to bring me Mojitos u People have fun!

7 days ... including 5 working days by that time I ll be in San Diego :) Next friday, I ll be flying really early in the morning from Dublin to London... London to Los Angeles... then I will take the train from Los Angeles to San Diego. Will spent the Friday night there to leave on Saturday for Mexico... on ship. Do u remember the TV show call the Love Boat?



Yes, then i ll make a remake of that show during a week :) I will get a cocktail with the Waiter Isaak :) I will wear my best dress for my diner with the Captain :) and I will wear my Goddess costume for the Halloween Party on the ship :) pictures will follow :)
Am I looking forward to it? My god u have no idea how bad I wanna be there already! For those who don t know I m living in the greenest country, there is a reason for that, it s because it s raining... a lot...roughly 320 days a year :( And for the past 2 years I did not get any 'summer', I am as white as an aspirin.... my skin is dying for some sun, she has never look as sad as she is right now :(


I don t have much of creativity today... it has been a very lazy week... so hard to work when u can only think about holidays... sun and Mojitos!
So I m just gonna do the PhotoFunia that is going around and around in the blogosphere!!!! :)

And I d like to thanks my sweet pie Hemu for the lovely poem he made and the 'cow' pic cz he knows i m a big fan of cows :)

Sometimes when my moral is down, i m thinking. Let s take a shaker for the depressing cocktail: I m 28, freakin single (wait there is a reason behind it), i m living in a country where I don t want to live, I m here for the work, though now, in the balance between work and the rest, the rest (by rest I mean : weather, food, culture....) have the tendency to reach closely the work, which is definitively not good! So I don t want to be involved in a relationship which could be potentially a long term relationship.... in Ireland, that ain't possible.
In 3 days, i will celebrate with a bottle a whiskey probably and fortunately with my best friend my 3 years spent on this 320 days/year raining island ;( sad ;(
So i m 28, single, sharing a house with a person so different than me that we barely talk to each other, i ve almost never been good sharing house with girls, easier with boys. I wish I can live by myself but the rent is so expensive in Dublin, unbelievable!!!! So I spend most of my time in my room ;( Being single was much easier before, since I had friends, lots of friends, here, have some friends at work, but they pretty much all have boyfriends/girlfriends, so of course they have better thing to do on the weekend than spending time with me.
Oh, did i mention the weather too? yeah probably but i have to mention it again, the weather sucks! badly, we are in the middle of august while it s 35 degrees where i m from, here it s raining, and there is a wind that strong, that the rain is going not down but horizontally, yeah, i bet u did not see that often! The weather affects my mood of the day badly, and when u re going to work, u arrive completely soak, the sky is so grey that u already think it s late afternoon ;( even if at work, there is lots of shiny colors, it does not do the trick after a couple of months!
If you add to this cocktail of sadness the occasional stress at work, when u are desperately seeking for advices and hope that one day u will be able to do the thing u like the most, but your hope is getting thinnest and thinnest...you get a pretty heavy alcoholic cocktail!
I m not in an heavy depression, just a small passaging depressed mood! My friend at work, told me to have one positive thought per day, and that s what i did, i took my credit card and i bought my flight to LA in October. I m going cruising with one of my best friend in Mexico, she s actually working on the ship, i m so looking forward to go there. Here is the itinerary:



I m counting the days, 72 days 72, that was my positive thought of the day. Now i m wondering, what will be my positive thought tomorrow....
